An Honest Story

This was an amazing story and one that I won't forget for a long time. Phil Britten tells his story of the Bali Bombing with honesty and integrity. I felt for him every step of the way and can only admire him for not only surviving such an awful experience but actually living the life he wants after it. A truly inspirational man.

Surving the Bali Bombing

The story of the Bali Bombing was written so very insightful by Phil Britten that at times I could feel the heat of the flames and smell flesh and wood burning. The horror of the author realising what happened and him trying to get outside of the Sari Club in Bali must have been so fearful. He takes us through the terror he went through not knowing if he will ever see his family again. Eventually, when he got outside and looked for help...........there was no help. Eventually, he was found by Mira, Tansen and Sai. That was the beginning of the hell he went through to survive. At times, he thought he is not going to make it back to Perth Australia ever. During his struggle just to stay alive we are taken with him through this nightmare to a point where I could not keep on reading, it was so hurtful. It took a day or two to get back to reading this book. The psychological trauma Phil went through, is as bad as the physical trauma and so well written. This narrative is one hell of a read I highly recommend it to every person that feels his or her life is worth zero, as Phil Britten literally went through hell and back and shows the reader all the trauma in your life can be overcome.

Phil has written a book that is powerful and inspirational. To come back from such a devastating experience is one thing. To take a horrific experience and turn it into something that serves the world in a bigger way says a lot about Phil Britten. Definitely worth the read.
